I'm trying to clean my desk now and sorting through a stack of paper, deciding what to recycle. I so want an office of kittens. The latest addition to our porch will pop any day now. But she's a bit more skittish than Lil' Mama (whose kittens I've never seen). I just have a feeling bringing this new mother (Scarface) inside could be disastrous. She'd have to be locked up in my sewing room (which is Wheezy's room so this would immediately cause unrest) and I imagine the sniffing possibly barking dogs would terrify the kitty (even if she were safe from them.)

But oh how I'd love a sewing room full of kittens!

Well, you should know that thanks to the ringworm, the drill with the kittens has become more complicated. I basically have to hoover the hall, stairs and landing twice a day now so they don't infect Linus. And I have to wash myself each time I leave their room, and change my t-shirt. I've started wearing my kitchen apron when I'm sitting with them as well, just to be on the safe side.

have you gotten medicine for them? (maybe I missed that back on the mega-thread)

Oh yes. I had them to the vet yesterday. Even she gave them a little hug.

A stray cat started hanging out under our house a few days ago. At first I was chasing it away, cuz my cat tends to fight other cats but now I see that it's basically just hanging around our house. It sneaks onto our porch. I started feeding it (him? her?) yesterday. Getting a chance to get up close to him (I'm guessing), I see he's quite undernourished and fleabitten. Applied flea stuff just now. My cat seems to just be ignoring him even though I fed him with her bowl, so it isn't coming to blows. Who should I call to find out whose cat it is? He looks like he's been lost for a while, but isn't feral.

You could try the shelter, see if anyone's reported a missing cat. Or take it to a vet to see if it has a microchip.

So, we have a pet guest cat for the next couple of weeks! Gloriously, his name is MONKEY. Or maybe 'her' name. I don't bl00dy know. Today I went to Tesco and picked her (or 'him') up some cat food - the SHEBA brand. One is "rabbit and chicken" which frankly my deres sounds quite tempting TO ME!

Major problem I had with it is not any accusations levelled at Luna, who I couldn't really care less about, but the snidey way it was done, and Chaki and others' refusal to back down even when the person who Chaki was telling everyone about turned up and said "er no, it wasn't exactly like that at all".
