That buffalo mozzarella actually comes from buffalo. I always assumed it was just a name.

I once read an amusing restaurant review ending in a fistfight between the reviewer and the restaurateur, because the reviewer reckoned they were trying to pass cow mozzarella off as buffalo mozzarella.
