The camel ... had come close to suffocating the family's pet goat on a number of occasions
There was a news story a couple of weeks ago about a camel which bit a young ass to death in the Helsinki zoo. Apparently the camels and the asses had been living peacefully in the same space for ages, but this particular young ass kept pestering the camel until it lost its nerves.
