I don't spend shit on anything but drink, and occasionally, good food. And sometimes live music and traveling to see it.
I often see people on ILM bemoan how much money they are going to have to shell out on this or that box set or limited edition and I'm like, send me that money, and tell me if you end up less happy for it.

I'm not much of a miser these days, but when we needed to be, we learned a lot from The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn. Some of her ideas are kind of crazy, but a lot of them are good.
