Yep yep, I found it on this site (your url)

they're all minimal house sets, so you'll appreciate it too, Didier! (wink)

I'm also looking for an upcoming bomb in minimal land:
Lucio Aquilina - Magic M.
Everyone's going to play it! (happy)
It's also on that site in that movie from marco carola, check it out, it's worth it!

(don't quite get what that "that site in that movie from" means, it's not quite clear)

yuck, I hate that adapted Internet Dutch or however you'd call it.
So what's the guy's website, Ronan?

nathalie, Friday, 24 August 2007 10:24 (eighteen years ago)

partyforum.be!

Ah it makes sense now, I put a video up of that "upcoming bomb" being played at a festival.

I just realized I showed how much of an old bitch I really am by admitting I'm not up with the internet lingo and shit. :-(

StanM, Friday, 24 August 2007 10:38 (eighteen years ago)

there is no dutch word for "minimal land"

mark s, Friday, 24 August 2007 10:41 (eighteen years ago)

that'd be minimaal land. but as it refers to a genre, i doubt they'd translate it. i mean, i wouldn't but then i'm an antiquated bitch. :-(

well, Dutch is the most amalgamated of European languages. it's like you took the stupidity of English and mixed it with the silliest-sounding German, French and Belgian and then fucked it up the ass.

Yep, that's true, but it does give us dutch/flemish the advantage of understanding a lot more of those languages a lot more easily than vice versa. Or we would, if more of us were interested enough in those languages. (Most of us don't even know our own language - the most obvious example: dt errors, even in newspapers)

StanM, Friday, 24 August 2007 14:35 (eighteen years ago)

(dt: it's a satanic verb thing you wouldn't understand)

Is putting an apostrophe in "CD's" correct in Dutch/Flemish? Just wondering since it annoys me in English but of course Dutch is not English and I know nothing about yr grammars.

(I have A BAG from an Antwerp record shop which says something like "CD's en platen - inkoop en verkoop - tweedehands en nieuw", which I have probably misspelt all of but I like the words so I felt like half-remembering them here)

a passing spacecadet, Friday, 24 August 2007 14:53 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, the official plural of cd is cd's in Dutch. And you didn't misspell any of that, congratulations! :-) (it says "cds and records - purchase and sale - second hand and new")

StanM, Friday, 24 August 2007 15:21 (eighteen years ago)

Thanks, Stan! "Tweedehands" is a very good word.

Belgian?!? I love it when people criticize our language not realizing there's such a thing as "Belgian."

nathalie, Friday, 24 August 2007 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

er... I bet you meant to write "no such thing" there, didn't you? :-)

StanM, Friday, 24 August 2007 15:37 (eighteen years ago)

In Belgian, "such a thing" means "no such thing."

Beth Parker, Friday, 24 August 2007 15:39 (eighteen years ago)

LUL (that's dutch for LOL)

StanM, Friday, 24 August 2007 15:46 (eighteen years ago)
