Sorority Poll

sorry Kappa = Kappa Kappa Gamma, this was from Lol College memory

Anyway, at my school, the hottest sorority was either Theta, Pi Phi or Kappa. That is order of snootieness.

This would be a good place to ask if anybody has "Sorority Girl" by the Accelerators. I've been looking for that MP3 for a few years now.

I've never heard of them what do they sing?

Obscure punk band, SoCal via Wyoming, started out as the Dirty Dogs. "Sorority Girl" was '78 or '79, really really rude lyrics.

Gr@dy, I'm sure you heard the Chi O song to the tune of "Heigh Ho," right? Everybody's heard that one, right?

No.

But one night i was "their bar" with some of them and Who Let The Dog's Out came on the sound system. Before I knew what was happening, all the bar tenders began removing everything that was sitting on the bar, completely clearing the entire bar. Then like six or seven of these girls jumped up on the bar and started dancing to the song. They all started making the owl-face thing you can do by making an OK sign with each hand:

then inverting both hands and placing them over your face, so that your eyes are peeking through the circles made by your thumb and pointer, and your other fingertips are resting along your jaw line. They began chanting:

WHOOO LET THE OWLS OUT?!??!
HOOT! HOOT! HOOT, HOOT!!!!

WHOOO LET THE OWLS OUT?!??!
HOOT! HOOT! HOOT, HOOT!!!!

along to the song. After it was over, they dismounted and the barware was replaced.

the Chi-O mascot is an owl, btw.

these girls were also very big fans of the game where you take the bottom of your beer bottle and pop it on the top of someone else's, causing it to foam up and spill all over the place.

It occurs to me now that at every frat party I attended in college, I willfully got so drunk I passed out. Like a mini suicide.

unrelated college greek story:

my friend's frat was right next door to a dorm that housed primarily freshmen girls. this dorm was lovingly nicknamed the Virgin Megastore by all in the frat.

Gamma Phi, my wife's sorority.

My sisters = Chi-O

I love owls. I liked the Chi-O story a lot better before I found out owl was their mascot, I hoped they just made up this owl thing out of owl love.

Please tell more about sorority and fraternity parties. I want to hear about these "keggers".
