I'm looking for a grad school for education (elementary probably) in the NYC/Long Island area.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

It's more New York state, per se (I'm not a native so I'm not up on the distance), but a friend of mine is currently doing his masters of education at Potsdam - I think it's a year long or so, after the initial blitz of classes he's at 2 days in classroom placement teaching grade 1 kids and 3 days of courses. He's pretty huge on it, not enough good things to say.

I didn't even realize you could do a one-year program like that, that sounds cool...
I am looking more for around NYC/LI but I'll definitely consider that...

i don't know anything about education programs, but CUNY is CHEAP.
