The queen of Atlantia settles into her throne. She playfully slaps its armrests and issues a decree. "And now," she purrs, "the bloodshed.""And now, the bloodshed," echoes a baron from a neighboring throne in front of the sword-fighting arena, which is surrounded by lords, ladies, their rambunctious offspring and sundry folk of lesser nobility. I always wanted to join the SCA, but there was never a chapter near me. Now I want to work at a living history museum though, I have decided those are superior because they have more funding and don't just exist on weekends.
xpost I know a guy who got scurvy! Not the old-fashioned way, though, he basically just only ate canned chili.

I always thought those stories about students getting scurvy were urban legends! They should totally join the SCA. I bet you can really annoy those guys if you turn up to one of their recreations dressed as an Orc.
