I don't understand the other boards

(I hope this question hasn't already been asked, but I couldn't find questions that were similar.)

All the similar ones are on the other boards.

they don't ask to be understood.

I love music: mostly about music.

I love cooking: mostly about cooking

I love comics: mostly about comics

I love films: mostly films

Noiseboard: they're mostly from NY, that's all you need to know

etc etc

I mean I guess I understand ILM, "IL Cooking" or "Knitting" etc since they are about something specific, but what about Ask Freud? and what is that De Subjectivism one about?

Yes, hence posters named parakeet esperanto and hamster french. I used to wonder whether sanskrit's name originated here, but I don't think he ever had an animal involved.

I came up with a great one for IRE once, which I've now forgotten. It got turned into a thread.

If you wanna understand 1p3, you gotta recognize that there are 2 waves of 1p3-dom: the Me and Ken Chu (and Dog Latin [actual origin of name thing], and Pleasant Plains, and Hari, and some others -- kinda ongoing within the current regime anyway) wave, and then the current Esteban 1p3psi challenge.

And the "pwn" thing was not really anything to do with the wave of "pwn"-talk on the internet at large. It was basically made one night when we were lamenting that "I Rate Everything" was gone, as a joke.

I do think it's kind of cool that Aeon Flux fan board glommed onto ILX without seeming to be aware of or care about the main boards. Also new episodes could be sweet!

About a year ago (before we welcomed our new paperthinwalls overlords), we did a long list of which boards got created. I think it was on the moddy board. Pash and I did the majority of it.

Old classic boards, like "I love shopping", "Shit" and umm.....

That board seems to be only about video games.

Every board is what the posters make it. You can talk about board games or card games or how to make a real-life katamari. I did a whole long post about the methodology for solving a particular sudoku that was especially annoying. You can too!
