Ingredients:
JJ, FB, a few other folks The palatial ancestral estates of fellow drinker Caledonia The entire episodic "Trapped in the Closet" sequence Shittons of booze A room with an actual bar in it A big TV
bonus features: The worlds most ridiculous dog. His name is Tugboat, he is a Portugeuse Water Dog. He is made out of crazy, and will not be drinking/participating in any drinking or R Kelly related activities, but will likely be looking on in utter confusion.
In need of: R Kelly themed drink recipes. I believe that "The Golden Shower" has already been designed. Do your best/worst.

AND before anyone pulls some "I read Boing Boing too" bullshit, I'm sure that this has been done before. We aren't innovators, we merely attempt to advance and perfect the science of drinking. Your contributions will help to bring about a better world for future generations. Unless they are hanging out with R Kelly.

― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 17:40 (eighteen years ago)

― HI DERE, Thursday, 27 September 2007 17:50 (eighteen years ago)
I think Tugboat will be the master of ceremonies. And just so everyone can see how truly ridiculous he is. Here is is jumping into a lake:

And here he is (with me) on the day that brought us both Cinco de Mayo AND the Kentucky Derby.

― Caledonia, Thursday, 27 September 2007 18:41 (eighteen years ago)
That drink in my hand is Dan's truly inspired drink of the day: a mint julep margarita.
As you can see, Tugboat approves of such innovations.
(PS: We'll be hiding the knives before hand . . . you know how FB gets)
― Caledonia, Thursday, 27 September 2007 18:43 (eighteen years ago)
hahaha, I love your dog!
PS Thanks for protecting FB from himself. It's nice to have one less thing to worry about.
― Sara R-C, Thursday, 27 September 2007 18:52 (eighteen years ago)
half dog, half muppet.
― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 18:57 (eighteen years ago)
I'm not actually sure if I'm referring to Tugboat or FB when I say that.
― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:01 (eighteen years ago)
THE 'TWAN
toughest drink around:
2 shots of hennesey, room temperature, mixed with warm beer
― jergïns, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:02 (eighteen years ago)
^^^could be tougher?
FB to thread, to ensure that we have hennesey arriving. this evening will fail w/o hennesey.
― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:06 (eighteen years ago)
You should call, email, or dial him via MuppetPhone to make sure he's getting the message.
― Sara R-C, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:08 (eighteen years ago)
YOU STILL NEED TO DO PLUMS VS PEOPLE

― Will M., Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:39 (eighteen years ago)
I'll admit that I feel a little guilty that we have not yet risen to that challenge.
― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:42 (eighteen years ago)
Also, in retrospect, I meant to call this "John Justen and Fluffy Bear will drink it while they watch it", but I was tired.
― John Justen, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:43 (eighteen years ago)
The I BELIEVE I CAN FLY
2 oz. Mezcal 2 hits brown acid
― Abbott, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:53 (eighteen years ago)

― Abbott, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:54 (eighteen years ago)
THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
3 oz used coffee grounds 1 oz Kahlua 1 oz Baileys Fill with seltzer water
― Abbott, Thursday, 27 September 2007 19:58 (eighteen years ago)
I think I need to point out that the mint julep margerita was actually the brain child of schef and ghost rider; I was merely the communication mechanism.
― HI DERE, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:39 (eighteen years ago)
schef + ghost rider + deX = iron triangle of cocktails?
― Sara R-C, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:45 (eighteen years ago)
Abbot, can you substitute absinthe for Mezcal in yr drink?
― HI DERE, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:46 (eighteen years ago)
i have nothing to add at present but i eagerly await the results of this endeavor
― gff, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:47 (eighteen years ago)
Well, hats off to Schef and Ghost Rider, then. It was a little miracle in a glass.
― Caledonia, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:50 (eighteen years ago)
It was a celebration of Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby all in one drink!
― HI DERE, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:50 (eighteen years ago)
SYNERGY
― Sara R-C, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:52 (eighteen years ago)
hell yeah absinthe is a fine substitute except for the taste :P Buh.
― Abbott, Thursday, 27 September 2007 20:52 (eighteen years ago)
24 hours left, people, and we need to prep (translation - buy booze).
I fear that the location does not have teh wifi internut, so live-blogging might be impossible. mopemoticon.jpg.
― John Justen, Friday, 28 September 2007 22:15 (eighteen years ago)
Not to worry; all will be forgiven as long as more photos of Tugboat are eventually offered.
― Sara R-C, Friday, 28 September 2007 22:26 (eighteen years ago)
...THE HELL?
2 parts banana schnapps 2 parts cinnamon schnapps 2 parts chocolate liquer
Shake over ice. Serve sprinkled with nutmeg.
― HI DERE, Friday, 28 September 2007 23:33 (eighteen years ago)
That sounds weirdly appealing right now.
― Sara R-C, Friday, 28 September 2007 23:52 (eighteen years ago)
Yes it does.

It didn't. I did it again. all should be well.
― John Justen, Saturday, 29 September 2007 23:20 (eighteen years ago)
Woke up with a skateboard in my room. Really? I remember that the pizza man had to step over me to get to the door. I tried to apologize, but it came out all garbled like homeslice from infinite jest. I wrestled a dog.
"Shots". 4 jiggers, each, of WTF. Half a liter of banana liquor gone. Still a little Hennessey left. Most of the rum and half the bourbon is gone. Bailey's is cashed.
???????

― gff, Sunday, 30 September 2007 16:30 (eighteen years ago)
the "red royale" was... difficult!
― gff, Sunday, 30 September 2007 16:32 (eighteen years ago)
Wait, what was the "Red Royale"?
― HI DERE, Sunday, 30 September 2007 17:29 (eighteen years ago)
I lost the instructions, but I believe the Red Royale was amaretto, whiskey, ginger ale, and maraschino cherries.
― Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Sunday, 30 September 2007 18:25 (eighteen years ago)
Which drinks did you guys actually make?
― HI DERE, Sunday, 30 September 2007 18:26 (eighteen years ago)
The golden shower was rum, banana liquor and sprite.
― Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Sunday, 30 September 2007 18:59 (eighteen years ago)
We had recipes and supplies for some of your shots, but by the time any were made I was no longer a functioning bartender. John might know.
― Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Sunday, 30 September 2007 19:00 (eighteen years ago)
I actually have no idea who made the drinks by the end of the night. Genevieve?
― John Justen, Sunday, 30 September 2007 20:58 (eighteen years ago)
