how to share your faith using halo 3

deej, Thursday, 27 September 2007 18:53 (eighteen years ago)

Jesus is saying that being a part of His body on earth is about fighting against Satan and his destructive plan. We get together and reach out to the unfortunate, share the good news with the unsaved, and stand up against the unfair.

And guess what? We win!

So if you liked High School Musical and wanted to be a part of it, give your local church/youth group a try. I guarantee if they do things right, your real life experience will move that made-for-TV plot into the realm of the Mickey Mouse club.

Go Christians! Woo Hoo!

Andy the Atheist

What Andy Believes

About Atheism:

Andy believes that atheism is the most rational and reasonable worldview, sometimes because of the 'damage' done by religion throughout the centuries, but mainly because it seems to be the most consistent with the observable world according to the scientific method.

About God:

Andy lacks a 'god belief'.

About the Trinity:

Since Andy lacks a 'god belief', the concept of the Trinity is totally irrelevant.

About Jesus:

Andy believes Jesus was either just an ordinary person, or never existed at all. He will oftentimes refer to the 'Jesus-Myth', or when he is being really sarcastic, refers to 'Jebus' (a sarcastic reference to Christ).

About the Bible:

Andy believes the Bible is a collection of myths, half-truths, and lies designed to lead ignorant people astray and give power to religious leaders over the masses.

About the Afterlife:

Andy does not believe in an afterlife.

About Salvation:

In Andy's mind, there is no need for salvation from sin and hell. He doesn't believe in sin, and he doesn't believe in hell, so why does anyone need to be 'saved'?

Things to Remember

* The first thing you need to ask an atheist is "do you really seek to discover the truth - even if it costs you your reputation, and even your friends?" If the answer is no, then realize that he/she is not willing to go where the evidence leads; you won't be having an honest intellectual dialogue, but your conversation may still have a spiritual impact.
* Don't talk about sin with an atheist. In their worldview, morality is generally dependent on the situation and neutral, so there is no reference point in their minds for a concept of breaking God's universal laws.
* Don't get dragged into arguments about what God did or didn't do. Focus on the evidence that Christ existed, died on the cross, and came back from the dead. As well, your personal testimony can be a powerful tool, because it's very difficult to 'disprove' the real and lasting change that Christ has brought to your life.
* Bottom line with an atheist (or anyone else for that matter) - you cannot argue someone to faith in Christ, but you can (and should) live such a Christlike life that those around you sense something different, which opens the door for you to explain the 'evidence'.

At the heart of Tara the Typical's worldview is tolerance, individualism, self-expression, self-effort and self-gratification (can you say myspace.com!)

Apples and oranges folks. Our God is the one true living God, while Allah is not. Therefore, there is no basis of comparison in terms of "killing", because in one case you have the Holy Creator of the universe exercising His justice in the face of blatant sin, and on the other hand you have the name of a false god being used as an excuse to build a human empire. Also, while I appreciate the recommendations from Dan, the whole point is that these are the same folks who are trying to spiritualize the literal verses from the Qur’an. This is not bashing, simply pointing out the facts. What we need to wake up from is the ‘why can’t we all just get along’ illusion. We are not fighting Muslims as people, rather the philosophy of Islam as a religion that keeps people from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

One of those gay Hong Kong Muslims, obviously.

Mo's religion is inseparably tied to his family and culture, so be sensitive to the fact that if he rejects Islam, his family and culture will reject and perhaps even plot to kill him. What this means is that Mo has to carefully weigh all the consequences of trusting Christ, so give him time and make sure you don't make trusting Christ sound flippant.

Sharing your faith with a Juggalo

My friend randomly imed me today and we somehow started talking about our faith. It was really cool, before now i thought he was an atheist or even a satanist, but he told me about his religion or philosophy, which is the juggalo faith. It shares some vague similarities with christianity, but hes not sure about Jesus being his savior. Hes concerned that new texts being found/released (eg. the book of Judas)will show a different story about jesus and he wants to make sure he is the messiah before making his decision. What should I do? What can I tell him to sway his decision and get him to come to Christ?

PLEASE HELP!!!

I am glad i found something on this topic...as far as a juggalo fayth...oh ya it exists...im not going to get into the symbolisms and idioms that are instituted in just about everything they do, but i can say that they are reaching out to people that are otherwise "unreachable"...i being a die-hard fan for many years had a truly inflicted and tortured mind and i lived a life of despair and destruction, trying to believe that G*d exists while living a life run by demons...though certainly not posessed, this life i will not delve into with yall, but G*d has reached this man and CURED me of all my inflictions...seriously being relieved of the "chemical imbalances" and "disorders"...doctors can no longer say i have...the healing and restorative power straight from G*d himself and not some Benny Hinn character...forever will he have the glory...not this group i still have love for...but the One True G*d that brought into his presence and refused to let me go no matter my choices...amen.

You have to give them a little credit. Their write-up on atheists and agnostics is more accurate than 99% of what you'll hear Christians say.
