no, really. the single best game i ever played [1] was on the dragon 32. it was called "return of the ring" and ... hoo, i've just found it on eBay ... anyway, yeh, it combined arcade goodness with type-in adventure joy.
until we discovered the tape my cousin had was faulty and couldn't get any further.
[1] the passing of time might have elevated this slightly in my memory. still. it's nice to be different.

Moon Cresta was my favourite, and the only one I can really remember. That and constantly remaking the same address book database.

Wasn't everything on the Dragon always green for some reason?

No, Moon Cresta is definitely black and white, in my head at least.

I've just remembered I beat the top high score once. I remember my parents being distinctly less impressed than I was.

Dudes, prepare to be AMAZED!
The Dragon 32/64 (and Tandy CoCo, and 6809 in general) thread
(And yeah, most things were green. There were two medium res colour palettes you could choose between - green/red/yellow/blue, or white/cyan/magenta/some strange teal-like colour. The second was horrible, so most games used the first. And if you wanted hi-res, you had to go with black and white).

Oh, and to answer the question, Chuckie Egg by a million miles for most of the machine's lifespan. I remember going to Oldham with my dad, and buying Chuckie Egg in Boots. And I remember reading the instructions on the bus home, and saying to my dad "I bet the music in this game is the birdie song!" and him replying "Really? I think it's going to be Chick-chick-chick-chick-chicken". And when we got home and I loaded it up, it turned out I'd guessed right!
In later years I spent a lot of time with Shock Trooper and Airball.

Why did people choose Dragon?
― Alba, Saturday, 29 September 2007 09:03 (eighteen years ago)
it was a pretty neat machine, in its own way. in 1982 or 1983 it would probably have looked more attractive than a spectrum ... that said, i remember it being bloody expensive.
jimD, yr other thread fucking rules! i've played JSW on pretty much every variety of emulator but not, i think, the dragon ... will have to rectify that. mind, that would also mean -- maybe -- playing "ring" again, and i don't want to have a wonderful memory spoiled by bitter reality :/
