i like doing this but not sure why

It's convenient, but only for when you are walking from inside to outside and you have a drink in your hand and need the other hand to open the door. Otherwise it can seem gross: how long has it been there, what hair juices have impregnated the cigarette, etc.

just be sure you wash behind your ears. learned this the hard way :(

Someone once ordered me not to do this b/c it made me look like a "navvy". Apparently immigrant laborers wear kitten heels these days.

I can't really do this because my hair is too long, but I don't mind anyone else doing it. Which option should I click? I was thinking 'unicorns'.

The top of me ear is too far from my head to support a cigarette, it just falls everywhere and I look all silly trying to catch the damn thing as it rolls of my head.

I only smoke cigars. Panatella's tend to break if you lodge them behind the ear.

The ciggy behind the ear should of course always be combined with tucking the packet in the upturned sleeve of your t-shirt.

it's never occured to me to do this. what is the point?

I like this doing this, it's one of those things that were cool high-school that I've never grown out of, like swearing a lot. Obviously it has little practical purpose.

Best for when you bum an extra from someone and save it for later, or when you're on yr way outside but your hands are full, or when you get interrupted and have to do something else before you can light up but don't want to set it down. Hmm or if yr clothes don't have pockets to put a whole pack in. Obv not really practical if you have the rest of teh pack with you.

last month, when i quit smoking again, i did this to test myself -- whenever i wanted to smoke i'd take the cig out and stare it down. nothin' like a burst of the ol' competitive drive to kick an addiction.

Man, when I quit smoking I had a whole pack of cigarettes sitting open on my coffeetable, and it made me MAAAAAAD when I looked at it.
