Vents are good if you have an ass of note.

Abbott, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 23:07 (seventeen years ago)

depends

max r, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 23:09 (seventeen years ago)

i don't think i've ever seen side vents.

jed_, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 23:15 (seventeen years ago)

two back vents.

gr8080, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 23:31 (seventeen years ago)

one back vent is okay. anything else makes no sense except no vents, which often makes the most sense of all.

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:06 (seventeen years ago)

what the hell are vents on suits

iiiijjjj, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:07 (seventeen years ago)

tombot shops at The Men's Warehouse.

gr8080, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:10 (seventeen years ago)

totally depends on the cut/style of the suit

I DIED, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:11 (seventeen years ago)

why do fancy clothes constantly have to be so WEIRD and have WEIRD ATTRIBUTES to them

the David Tennant Suit

Abbott, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:16 (seventeen years ago)

Maybe it is just the way he is bent, but as you can see, the vents make room for his ass of note.

Side vents are the squarest vents of all, I think.

Abbott, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 00:17 (seventeen years ago)

I have a slight preference for two vents, three buttons -- but a suit that suits you is the best of all.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

two back vents

snoball, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 23:15 (seventeen years ago)

I just tend to associate vents and pleats and stuff with dudes having gut

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 23:24 (seventeen years ago)

dudes having gut

The reason I can't wear a double breasted suit anymore. Also because a DBS makes me look like a waiter.

snoball, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 23:26 (seventeen years ago)

I like 1 vent since 2 makes for a ledge effect, but alas, I can never find a single-vented jacket.

Jesse, Thursday, 4 October 2007 01:20 (seventeen years ago)

Pole retaliates by smothering suit.

libcrypt, Thursday, 4 October 2007 04:33 (seventeen years ago)

0 vents, plz

Oilyrags, Thursday, 4 October 2007 04:45 (seventeen years ago)

i don't think i've ever seen a no vent suit jacket. it would make sitting down pretty difficult in a well fitted suit. that's what they are there for, after all.

jed_, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:35 (seventeen years ago)

No real answer, as it depends on the rest of the suit.

aldo, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:38 (seventeen years ago)

and on the arse and stomach of the wearer.

Ed, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:38 (seventeen years ago)

Well, quite.

aldo, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:44 (seventeen years ago)

I like 1 vent since 2 makes for a ledge effect

i don't know what you mean.

2 vents makes the "hands in trouser pockets, jacket rakishly crumpled over wrists" easier to pull off.

ledge, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:49 (seventeen years ago)

there's a missing "look" in there somewhere.

ledge, Thursday, 4 October 2007 13:49 (seventeen years ago)

if you have a big arse pert bottom a 2 vent suit can create the "ledge effect" jesse is referring to. anyway i voted for 1 vent, i think it's probably the ultimate but, yes, it all depends.

jed_, Thursday, 4 October 2007 14:00 (seventeen years ago)

i have not thought about this before. i think i would like 2 side vents best but not cut too far up.

blueski, Thursday, 4 October 2007 14:02 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.
