My inbox is full of all this filth and junk mail. Is anyone else getting an unbelievable amount of spam from ILE. I can't think of anywhere else I've put my address. It's very annoying. I am averaging 3 to 4 mails a day so unless someone signed me up for something sordid then it must be spam from here.

Anything I can do to get rid of spam? Pref. for free. Anyone else having this problem?

Since I changed my email address to this one with my full name in it I've been getting a huge flood of junk mail to my Hot Mail account, offering teen porn, DVD burners, debt consolidation etc. etc. As IL* is the only place on the web that I post this address I'm presuming it comes from here, somehow. At least w/ Hot Mail you can filter out most of the junk mail before it reaches yr inbox.

I've been getting loads more too, strangely the same ones to both my work account and my hotmail one, which I find worrying as I never put them in the same places.

Lots this week to this hotmail account, but also a marked increase to my yahoo account which I rarely give out (SexiMandi seems particularly communicative), so I doubt it's just ILE-related. God, I rue the day I ever bemoaned my relative lack of email spam.

mandi has tried it on with me too. but most of the spam i get goes directly to the address i use norfolkwindmills to forward to, it doesn't come via gareth@norfolkwindmills.com, so i just change what i forward it to every now and then. i don't get much spam to this addres at all, just that hip hop alerts thing

I checked the messages as they were coming down, and they were all for email addresse i only use for ILx. Fuckers (literally & figuratively) i will have to suss the killfile function. Has anyone complained to yahoo?

If you're a moderator LUSENET allows you to harvest e-mail addresses very easily. This is one reason why I asked people to use an e-mail address they didnt mind being on the web for the FT thing, by the way.

That is a nice feature of hotmail, the filtering out of most of the junk mail. But I always have to check the junk mail folder before I delete everything, because it has been putting some legitimate email from friends, etc. in there.

I'd really like Mandi, Cindi and all their fluffy pals to stop mailing me, just cos I use myweb based mail at work a lot and I don't want anyone sneaking up behind me and thinking I am anything worse than an internet loving workshy fop.

So - do I have to ditchmy free emailaccount and get another? I'd rather not, as everybody Iknow uses it to get in touch with me. Is there any way I can stop cindimandy's sexy fun?
