We used to perform a short story as a play of the week in baby infants (ie i was 4) and this girl elizabeth was cast as the princess and mrs murphy asked who wanted to be the prince and i waved my hands in the air and begged and pleaded -despite no competition that i can recall- and got the gig. when the big moment came to kiss her and awaken her from the spell of the week i was overcome with uncharacteristic shyness and it was agreed that we would shake hands instead.
