• a little yellow brain goldfish with black fins
• a little black moor goldfish
• a sucker fish

Goldfish make a room 300% better. I've spent two hours total watching them since buying them this morning.

W4LTER, Monday, 8 October 2007 02:52 (seventeen years ago)

that's what I thought of, yes? But I don't want to have to say, "How are you, little Egon_Kentor?" when I go to feed them. A son, yes. I can't foist that kind of thing on a goldfish, though.

i always liked 'henry' for a fish or a dog.

Rubyredd, Monday, 8 October 2007 03:16 (seventeen years ago)

Pretty much any sushi related name, including just Sushi, is generally classic for a fish. I suggest Masago.

But up for more! It doesn't feel bad not naming a fish for a while, unlike a mammal. My sister, for example, didn't get a name until she was two months old. That's why on her birth certificate it says "Baby Girl McCrack3n." I tell her all the rap songs are about her.

The last fish I bought was about five years ago, and on my way back from the pet shop, I met some kids who asked to see the bag with the fish in it. I told them they could name the fish, and one of them said "you should call him James."
"Like James Bond?" I said.
"No," she said, "my uncle James."

So I have a fish named after some kid's uncle James.
