Subway Complaint

Elimination of Seafood and Crab Sandwich from Menu.... Seafood and Crab Sandwich

I am expressing my extreme dissapointment and ANGER with Subway for eliminating this sandwich from their menu nation wide. I have been eating this sandwich and almost only this sandwich for 14 years, in heaven from the moment I first tasted it.

I understand the need for changes, and modifications, but what they should have done is some new advertising on the sandwich, saw really none the last few years. Stop opening so many stores, for almost every one here in Vegas is near vacant most of the time through the day. Just make LESS of the product, or at least have SOME stores offer the product, or make it when it's requested, since all it is is a light mayo and the seafood and crab. etc.

See, the thing that makes this really bad other than the fact that the sandwich was and is my favorite food of all time, is the fact that you simply can't find the sandwich anywear else. Most of their other sandwiches however you can find at a 100 other places, as well easily made oneself. This is absolutely unacceptable. A common person can't even find out where they bought it from so as to get it again themselves.

Anyway, Subway needs to bring this product back, at least in limited release at some resturants or one minimum in an area. In fact, doing so with a new Ad campaign might stimulate interest again.

So, while I found their Terriaki sub to be a nice distraction on rare occasion, until they bring back the seafood and crab, I am no longer bringing my business to them. I was looking forward to trying the seafood and crab on a Toasted Bun, but when I went to try it, my sandwich was gone. Every time I look at a subway now, I simply get angry, because I think of my sandwich, and my mouth waters for it.

Shame on Subway, for unilaterally destroying 1000's of peoples enjoyment.

Whatever happened to simply good business, catering to the customer, and the standard simply MAKE LESS practices?

I could take McDonalds getting rid of their Arch Deluxe, or their Sweet Honey Mustard, but I can't take this. And if I had the time, and if I ever do have some time, I will be protesting in front of their stores, and I will be getting petitions. But, sadly, I don't know when I can or if I will be able to do that. But to be clear, I'm not into that kind of thing accept in really bad cases, so frankly, that's how really mad I am about this. Subway.... You have been informed.

Al Shipley

It was all over when Subway cracked down on Maryland stores offering unauthorized Old Bay on the Seafood & Crab.

I don't know if this bums me out or not.

As if this compares to when Subway substituted the SIDE SLICE for the far superior TRENCH CUT.

frogbs, Saturday, 24 February 2024 04:28 (one year ago)

something's definitely going on here they have a billion locations and spend an insane amount of money on advertising and suddenly there's like 2 people max ever working at one and all their food tastes like shit. it's like one day the entire corporation silently became a pyramid scheme. i bet it was the day they caught Jared, too.

frogbs, Saturday, 24 February 2024 04:39 (one year ago)

Typically i enter a Subway once a year, just after spending two weeks camping and backpacking in a remote wilderness during which time I ate no fresh food of any kind. I order their 'garden' sub (or whatever they call the meatless one with cheese only) and it's basically an OK green salad on mediocre bread. I enjoy it because it is basically an OK green salad on mediocre bread and I'm primed for that. Anything else on the menu is just water off a duck's back. I don't notice it.

'now'

not in a position to question your recent experiences, but i ate my share of subway until i could no longer stand that smell, and it was never more than edible

mookieproof, Saturday, 24 February 2024 04:51 (one year ago)

It's the same on the other side of the pacific too

H.P, Saturday, 24 February 2024 04:57 (one year ago)

look I understand that opinion but I'm telling you it is definitely worse than it was. the veggies look terrible. the bread is like a loaf of sponge. the turkey tastes like napkins. their toasted subs are really strange because they're flash cooked at 4000 degrees. in the past I'd argue they were nearly as good as Cousins

frogbs, Saturday, 24 February 2024 05:02 (one year ago)

i know it seems inconceivable that, with capitalism efficiently providing money where it is needed to best benefit humankind, certain things might get worse

but it may be time for you to step away from subway

subway was always gross
there was a time when you felt it was on the rise
they grew it too big too fast etc beyond capacity
feel like the downturn was late 00's when "suddenly there's like 2 people max ever working at one" applied
they stopped giving a fuck where there had been a pretense of optimism or something
and setting foot in a subway felt like giving up on life
and abandoned storefronts where *that smell* once wafted unhappily into the street

in the words of the desperate bicycles, it's been like that for many years.

A street taco cart named Des'ree (Deflatormouse), Saturday, 24 February 2024 06:49 (one year ago)

it's always been nearly infinite combinations but all tastes the same. all the bread is stodgy and nasty. All the meat is vaguely salty protein mush. All the vegetables have no flavour, even the jalapeƱos and olives. All the sauces taste like vinegar and corn starch.

calstars, Saturday, 24 February 2024 12:36 (one year ago)

it's not something I would seek out but occasionally I need food and there is a Subway nearby and tbh I think it's usually pretty adequate. it's not *good* but it is reliably edible

Colonel Poo, Saturday, 24 February 2024 12:41 (one year ago)

aggrieved new yorkers know how to bond with total strangers over subway complaints, anywhere else that kind of hostility might push people away. thread title is wasted on the fast food chain
