i am trying to screen a Tsai Ming-liang film, locally; the world of permissions & rights is so depressing. we have access to a print of the film that we might not be able to use, because the rights expired and all of the production companies seem to have disbanded. i get so sad thinking of it sitting in a warehouse unused.
