Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has proved he really is a true Blue by declaring his allegiance to the Tory party. After meeting party leader David Cameron, Lampard said: "I had a good chat with him and I really like him."

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 13:50 (eighteen years ago)

This is news?? He and John Terry have been Tories for years?

Wait or was it just Frank who was Tory but Terry's a racist? I forgot.

ken c, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 13:53 (eighteen years ago)

Haha excellent, Lampard never ceases to find new ways to let his country down.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

Indefensible human being.

caek, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:05 (eighteen years ago)

maybe he wants to save the environment. hae any of you thought of that?

Frogman Henry, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

by EATING it

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:10 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe he looks around the dressing room and sees that something needs to be done to curb immigration. Coming into our country, stealing our half time pies, etc.

onimo, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)

In Lampard's case, half-time pies, full time pies, pre-match pies, injury time pies, 23rd minute disputed offside decision pies...

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:16 (eighteen years ago)

Is Fat Frank the least fat person ever to have a reputation for being fat above anything else? The fat prick.

Mark C, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:34 (eighteen years ago)

he's one of the fatter 80k a week athletes in the public sphere.

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:45 (eighteen years ago)

I think Frank's non-fatness is part of what makes repeatedly calling him fat so funny

That mong guy that's shit, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:48 (eighteen years ago)

especially by fat people

Frogman Henry, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

Frank IS the public sphere amirite

DJ Mencap, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 14:52 (eighteen years ago)

Driving Frank Lampard from ILX - classic or dud

DJ Mencap, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:06 (eighteen years ago)

You'd have to use an HGV for that

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:08 (eighteen years ago)

rolling frank lampard away from ilx thread.

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:10 (eighteen years ago)

Is there context for that quote btw? Saying David Cameron is a nice bloke, while probably showing signs of delusion, doesn't necessarily translate into actually voting for him.

I mean, there are far better things to slag Lampard off for. Being fat, being the master of pointless fucking off-target blootering shots from 35 yards out despite not being any good at them etc.

(A contributor to The Fiver once proved by science that Frank *is* actually fat, putting his height and weight statistics from the Chelsea website into a BMI calculator)

ailsa, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:15 (eighteen years ago)

Finally, science being applied to soemthing useful.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

astrophysics, most likely

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

I found it here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/7082381.stm

Herman G. Neuname, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:47 (eighteen years ago)

Might have guessed.

Do you think he's classic or dud, since it's your thread? I have no real opinion of him, but that quote was all kinds of ridiculous.

ailsa, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

can he be classic and dud?

classic- being really good for west ham, even though the fans there didn't rate him all that highly (didn't he score 17 goals in a season for them aged 20 or something). leaving said club when they sacked his dad and his uncle. scoring a huge amount of goals and being a major factor in the success of his current club. fairly honest trier on the field.

dud- can't take criticism, fat.

darraghmac, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

This is why I have no real opinion of him - it's too difficult to call one way or the other, mostly because he's exceptionally dull.

ailsa, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:54 (eighteen years ago)

Classic for the THE SAN WE LAV IT ads because they always called to mind some director watching it back and going 'we did 27 takes and that was as good as he got'

DJ Mencap, Wednesday, 7 November 2007 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

one month passes...

(Chorus):
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,

Listen to the music, shuffle up your feet,
Listen to the music of the fatty beat.

(Chorus)

Moving with the rhythm, sweating with the heat,
Moving with the rhythm of the fatty beat.

(Chorus):
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,
Trumpeet.

(Chorus)

Listen to the music, shuffle up your feet,
Listen to the music of the fatty beat.

(Chorus):
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,
Trumpeet.

(Chorus)

(Chorus)
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,
Don’t call me fat man,
Lip up fatty, ah lip up fatty, for the reggae,
Fat man don’t like you.
