Get a wet washcloth and use it to put pressure on the wound. When it has stopped bleeding, get some ice and hold it against your lip to get rid of the possible swelling (not too long, you don't want to freeze your lip either).

No licking - the getting wet/drying/getting wet/drying only makes chapping worse.

I don't think it can heal up all the way, but you might want to avoid salty foods today, and use lip balm of some sort to keep the area moisturized and keep it from splitting any.

(There's one for "ILX quoted out of context.")

If it doesn't stop bleeding with the wet washcloth push method after 15 minutes to half an hour, you may want to consider going to a doctor.

(That lip balm is better than licking your lip after the bleeding has stopped: constant moisture instead of wet/dry/wet/dry.)

Bleeding usually means you have too much blood. Cut yourself somewhere else to get rid of some of that excess blood and the lip will stop bleeding as well.

it didnt bleed that much, now it's just a little thing on my lip. i bought polysporin lip shit.

man they sell so much lip balm crap in the pharmacy these days. it took me like 10 minutes to decide.

whole back inside of bottom lip is raw and there's a decent cut on the lip itself tryin to scar over

been icing on and off all day, pain actually hadnt been that bad, took a few aspirin & tried to lose a piece of loose scar tissue, managed to reopen cut & what with aspirin it's bleedin again & hurts worse, bad enough to keep me awake
