Come anticipate RIGHTEOUS KILL with me despite the stupid title and 50 Cent's in it but it still might be good.

deniro's law states that no movie robert deniro has been in since goodfellas will be any good whatsoever

With about a dozen exceptions... ?

Anyway, is that trailer official? Why does it look like some hacked-together bootleg?

Kerm, Thursday, 8 November 2007 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

ok yr right kerm there are a lot of exceptions. it just seems like every time i see a trailer with deniro in it for the past x years im like 'jesus, what the fuck happened to that guy.' this ones no exception.

Yeah, the fifteen watchable movies he's been in since Goodfellas aside, Heat, Ronin and Jackie Brown are pretty much perfect.

If I ever purposely pay to see 50 Cent in anything, I will know I have lost my way.

It's hard for ol' Bob to maintain the levels of artistic achievement and popular appeal he reached with films such as DeNiro is a Cop XVI and DeNiro is a Crook XXIII... But the DeNiro is a Spy franchise still has potential... and who knows where DeNiro is a Pirate could lead.

It's true that he's gotten a lot less versatile than his early career would have suggested (though his last big success was a comedy). But I have no problem with a guy playing the same roles over and over again, especially late in life. Give me more of it, actually! I never got tired of Clint Eastwood is a Tough Guy or Cary Grant is Charming.

i liek this cast, save 50, who looks less irritating in the shots of him in that trailer than usual

instead of trying to look all menacing or annoyed or whatever he does, he kinda looks flippant and/or like he doesn't know he's being filmed in those shots! perhaps that was the trick to get a good performance out of him. don't let him know he's in the movie.

There are very good odds that you could flat-out tell 50 he was in a movie and he still would not know he was in a movie.
