Be Cool? snigger. Still he's so *swoooon* sexee.

stevienixed, Saturday, 10 November 2007 02:50 (eighteen years ago)

is this a poll about which movie is the best, or in which movie keitel is the best?

Tracer Hand, Saturday, 10 November 2007 03:53 (eighteen years ago)

he is really bizarrely hot.

horseshoe, Saturday, 10 November 2007 07:44 (eighteen years ago)

It sure isn't his constant trouser dropping ways. :-)

nathalie, Saturday, 10 November 2007 10:28 (eighteen years ago)

Mean Streets, tho he's fine since when he cares and keeps his clothes mostly on.

Dr Morbius, Saturday, 10 November 2007 18:51 (eighteen years ago)

Smoke, without a second thought. Both a great movie and a great Keitel performance.

Tuomas, Saturday, 10 November 2007 19:01 (eighteen years ago)

lol The Two Jakes

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Saturday, 10 November 2007 19:05 (eighteen years ago)

Bad Lieutenant

C0L1N B..., Saturday, 10 November 2007 19:27 (eighteen years ago)

holy smoke. awesome movie.

s1ocki, Saturday, 10 November 2007 22:00 (eighteen years ago)

Two best performances of 1992. Zero Oscar noms, iirc.

M.V., Sunday, 11 November 2007 03:56 (eighteen years ago)

Um, "Sister Act" notwithstanding.

M.V., Sunday, 11 November 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)

How could you leave "Star Knight" (aka "El Caballero del Dragon") off of the list?

The imdb entry describes it thusly:

"Plot Summary:
Princess Alba (Lamor) is abducted by a dragon, and it's up to Klever (Keitel) to save her. But, it turns out that this dragon is an alien spacecraft..."

polyphonic, Sunday, 11 November 2007 08:01 (eighteen years ago)

I would watch "Star Knight" with Keitel. I mean Ketel.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

Blue Collar or Reservoir Dogs.

Smoke is terrible s1ocki what the hell

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:07 (eighteen years ago)

Mean Streets...that or Last Temptation of Christ. But Mean Streets allowed him to come into his own.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:11 (eighteen years ago)

haha wait I forgot that Smoke and Holy Smoke were two different movies - my bad!

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:15 (eighteen years ago)

"Corrupt", the one with John Lydon.

Mark G, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:25 (eighteen years ago)

Tough choice between Mean Streets and Fingers, though the latter made such an awful impression that I have to rewatch it to be sure.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 00:27 (eighteen years ago)

lol The Two Jakes

why? he's likely made dozens of worse films.

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

okay has anyone seen the one with the monkey

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 16:51 (eighteen years ago)

Smoke, without a second thought. Both a great movie and a great Keitel performance

yes. though i haven't seen quite a few of these others, i really love smoke (i have never seen 'holy smoke'). william hurt was also fantastic in smoke.

Mark Clemente, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 16:53 (eighteen years ago)

show me how you suck it!

Steve Shasta, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 17:17 (eighteen years ago)

okay has anyone seen the one with the monkey
i jsut watched this the other day on cable.
starring thora birch

carne asada, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 17:20 (eighteen years ago)

show me how you suck it!

^^^^ I have funny memories of this movie, cuz I went to see it with a lapsed Catholic and uh, parts of it made her cry (including that scene)

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 17:23 (eighteen years ago)

I'll go with Bad Lieutenant, because not only is it a great, fucked-up little movie, it's a big Kietel showcase piece.

kenan, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 17:27 (eighteen years ago)

I remember being impressed by it but I don't think I've seen it since it came out.

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 17:31 (eighteen years ago)

keitel has lots of great performances in some lousy-to-mediocre films. i think his performance in 'the two jakes' is really good. it's a tough pick.

omar little, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 19:52 (eighteen years ago)

Nobody vote for Ulysses' Gaze!

James Redd and the Blecchs, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 20:04 (eighteen years ago)

doesn't he play a pirate in the monkey one?!

i'm tempted to vote for Little Nicky. he's very cute in it.

da croupier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

otherwise it's probably taxi driver or mean streets

da croupier, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

1998's 'The Little Red Songbook' album by Scottish musician Nick Currie (Momus) includes a song called 'Harry K-Tel', about the phone-sex relationship that Keitel allegedly had with Currie's sister.

bell_labs, Tuesday, 13 November 2007 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

i like his role as jeter's evil soul in those tv spots

ILX System, Wednesday, 14 November 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

three weeks pass...

biggest WTF entertainment spam in awhile:

Appearing on a New York stage for the first time in over 20 years, Academy Award® nominee Harvey Keitel will star in JERRY SPRINGER - THE OPERA IN CONCERT at Carnegie Hall for two nights only.
