Consider this thread tangentially related to "correct time to leave a party" thread and the "correct time to arrive at a party" thread, only except but this thread is not about the the right to do something, but rather it's about what a nice gift for the host would be, and if the answer might depend upon certain contexts like what time the party stars, who will be there, and basically if weed is ever a good host gift.

A good gift would be some booze. The type of booze is the critical question. Like the scene in "Teenwolf" where Michael J Fox's character goes to all sorts of trouble to get a keg, then turns up at the party to find that everyone else has bought a keg too. I suppose there is a connection between this and the "what time to arrive" thread, as when you arrive modifies the type of booze/etc. to bring. Turning up super late with a bottle of Ouzo would be a no-no. Arriving super late with a big bag of erb = genius.
