It's totally between Harlan Pepper and the Swans.

Abbott, Sunday, 11 November 2007 23:32 (eighteen years ago)

i can't say no to eugene

electricsound, Sunday, 11 November 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

harlan & hubert, but with nods to the whole cast. that was one awesome movie.

Rubyredd, Monday, 12 November 2007 00:19 (eighteen years ago)

I think it is their best one, for real.

Abbott, Monday, 12 November 2007 01:18 (eighteen years ago)

i mostly just want to vote for fred willard

max, Monday, 12 November 2007 01:21 (eighteen years ago)

OTM

Eric H., Monday, 12 November 2007 01:52 (eighteen years ago)

Scott and Stefan sort of feel like they're from a different movie in that they're not portrayed as basically pathetic or trying hard to put a game face on some barely concealed desperation. They're instead pretty comfy with themselves and enjoy each other's company, which sort of doesn't work in this milieu. But I had to vote for them because they had the best punchlines.

Eric H., Monday, 12 November 2007 01:54 (eighteen years ago)

I can't choose! Ok, S & S for the same reason as ^^^.

ENBB, Monday, 12 November 2007 02:13 (eighteen years ago)

I only remember the first three (I haven't seen it for six years or so, I think) and Parker Posey's tantrum in the toy shop decides it.

Oilyrags, Monday, 12 November 2007 02:19 (eighteen years ago)

cosine!

69, Monday, 12 November 2007 02:31 (eighteen years ago)

Hubert was the only memorable dog for me, so he and Harlan get my vote. Something about the southern charm. Gerry & Cookie and the gays are very good, too. The other two, I couldn't remember right away.

The Reverend, Monday, 12 November 2007 04:34 (eighteen years ago)

but christy cummings was kind of awesome - a way cooler kind of high strung than posey!

tehresa, Monday, 12 November 2007 04:38 (eighteen years ago)

i felt sorry for beatrice the dog

latebloomer, Monday, 12 November 2007 04:53 (eighteen years ago)

"she looks like a cocktail waitress on an oil rig"

gff, Monday, 12 November 2007 05:29 (eighteen years ago)

People say 'oh but he's so much older than you' and you know what, I'm the one having to push him away. We have so much in common, we both love soup and snow peas, we love the outdoors, and talking and not talking. We could not talk or talk forever and still find things to not talk about.

Abbott, Monday, 12 November 2007 05:34 (eighteen years ago)

I'd say, "Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut." That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!" And Hubert used to be able to make the sound, he couldn't talk, but he'd go "rrrawr rrawr" and that sounded like Macadamia nut.

Abbott, Monday, 12 November 2007 05:37 (eighteen years ago)

"I saw her at the sideshow at the fair. The sign said, 'TURTLE WOMAN - PLEASE BEWARE'." And they had a sign saying, "BEWARE," because of snapping turtles, I guess. "But I went in and I just had to stare. Turtle Woman, I love you, I don't care."

God. I love them all, but Scott and Stefan for the win.

"You're packing 6 kimonos? We're only going to be gone for the weekend."

"Ok, so seven...?"

roxymuzak, Monday, 12 November 2007 05:41 (eighteen years ago)

Dom Passantino, Monday, 12 November 2007 08:11 (eighteen years ago)

Split vote. Scott and Stefan are the best owners. But Winky just beats Miss Agnes. I like small dogs, less slobber.

Ned Trifle II, Monday, 12 November 2007 08:36 (eighteen years ago)

The church on Main St. in my town has bells in its belfry which play "God Loves a Terrier." I swear.

roxymuzak, Monday, 12 November 2007 08:39 (eighteen years ago)

harlan. for the way he says 'macadamia nut'.

stevie, Monday, 12 November 2007 12:57 (eighteen years ago)

tehresa, Monday, 12 November 2007 14:02 (eighteen years ago)

Harlan's beach ball collection from the deleted scenes is AMAZING.

I DIED, Monday, 12 November 2007 14:10 (eighteen years ago)
