uh, Brody's character is essentially 'the lead' in the Jones novel, so it was probably shot that way.

the only thing i remember him doing in that movie was wading through a creek near the end, hearing some twigs snap, and running back up the creek going "they're a-comin! they're a-comin!"

Sigourney Weaver is just in long shot when Annie & Alvy meet (under his voiceover) outside the Thalia movie theater at the end, when they're on post-breakup dates with others. SW was a stage actress/film novice at the time, nothing was cut that I know of.
