Mmm, Special Brew. Ever since All Nite Sainsbury's opened under our flat we can stagger in there for food when drunk so most of the stuff I buy there tends to be coke (to go with rum), quiche (my new favourite thing to eat when pissed), chicken drumsticks and tortilla chips.

Fresh produce, fresh meat, usually cheese, often bread, generally soy milk and possibly cream, Snyder's pretzels. It depends, though -- we live so near so many grocery stores that there's always one on the way home from anywhere, which means a lot of "oh, you know, I wouldn't mind a nectarine" or "want me to make garlic bread tonight?" quickstops.

Oh yeah, and the current grocery list has "bagels" on it because I'd bought cream cheese to put on Pepperidge Farms' vanilla French toast bread, and now the girlfriend wants "bagels." She's from the northwest so doesn't have the same standard for real bagels I do. I wrote down "bagels" in quotes, and keep pronouncing the quotes, because I'm a dick.

I did well. Red pesto, tomato & marscapone sauce, penne, Irn-Bru, haddock chowder, long beans, milk, Cinnamon Grahams, eggs, Lancashire cheese, Cumberland sausages, tissues, Euthyjmol toothpaste & some other miscellaneous stuff. It was kinda nerve-racking but enjoyable nonetheless.

I should really just get a bar beer cooler. I only use the beverages in my fridge. Soda, water, beer, sometimes juice. That and frozen diet meals are the only staples i need. Everything else is takeout.

At the regular supermarket, I got onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, bananas, a cantaloupe, a 12-pack of diet store-brand soda, a tub of margarine, a 1/2 gallon of 1% milk, whole wheat bread, corn tortillas, a dozen eggs, weiners, a box of Crispix cereal, a bottle of (hot) salsa, paper towels, dog food, dog treats, a bottle of dishwashing liquid, some deodorant spray, and a filter for the air conditioner. You have to replace those once a month while the a/c runs. And at the warehouse store I got ground beef, pork chops, and sausage, meaning I don't have to spend on meat for a good month and a half.
