i don't really understand how a sport that was invented as a fictional set piece / plot engine would actually be fun to play for ANYONE in, you know, real life, if it was stripped of its fandom association.

yeah, the snitch thing is pretty idiotic as far as it working as an actual game. makes a neat plot device, tho.

It's worth a load of points but not necessarily always enough to win the match. Middlebury College nutters seem to have twigged that it was overvalued as they've reduced its value from 150(?) points to 50.

Why bother winning 8 rounds against Tyson if he can just knock you out in the 9th?
