Last week at the New Orleans airport ("Louis Armstrong Internation Airport" it was recently renamed, further turning this city into a damn theme park) someone found a package in a restroom wrapped in newspapers bearing "TERROR WARNING"-type headlines--the airport was shut down and the bomb squad was brought in. The dogs reacted strongly to the package and the whole bomb-defusing thang went down, but when it was blasted with water it was revealed that the package contained a container of gumbo. I dunno if I should feel, like, grateful that travellers' safety is taken so seriously (nope) or kind of incredulous that they have SUCH CRAPPY DOGS.

It must be a damn slow news day, if CNN considers this worth talking about. My next flight out, what do I do? Wear a robe to the airport to keep airport security from frisking me?

Sadly, our tax dollars pay for the guns and sniffer dogs used to raid that bathroom.
