(Ok, I looked through at least 30 pages on google search and found no such thread...so if it exists, don't say I didn't try!)

So, for me, this gets a CAPITAL D. I'm usually not into horror remakes but I really liked what I saw in the trailer. Probably shoulda just watched THAT over and over.

Instead, Zombie gave us an extremely boring, and unscary horror movie that was not a "character study" as someone said as a convenient way to hack up a bunch of annoying, unsympathetic characters on screen...without even making it fun! Not to mention it's pathetic attempt at an explanation of his origins (which were unnecessary...OMG HE'S IN AN ABUSIVE REDNECK FAMILY, JUST LIKE MILLIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE!)

He should stick to stuff like Devil's Rejects. This was horrible.

Anyway I'll repeat what I said then which is that the beginning of this movie (basically the part right up until Myers becomes a hulking superman) is good only because the kid is so genuinely creepy. But the combination of Myers being so UNSTOPPABLY unkillable right off the bat and the young girls he's slashing up being so boring and annoying made the second half a complete waste of time.

that's the trouble with most horror pics these days, i have zero sympathy for any of the victims. They usually deserve everything they get.
