Sarah, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

As much as one CAN cackle hands in glee, I supose. You know what I meant!!!

nursey rhyme old crone, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A boring white button down shirt. That's about it.

Nicole, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I haven't bought any clothes in ages. I think I may have to buy a suit, but won't if I can possibly avoid it. I bought some black Reebok classics though. They are my football shoes.

yesterday I got some hoiliday pay so I went to TK maxx, oh dear, I got 3 pairs of black socks, a pair of blue stripey socks that look great, a nice, soft grey Champion t-shirt, a checked, short-sleeve shirt that turns out is Caterpillar but is still quite nice aside from the strange pocket detail and a pair of brown suede Paul Smith shoes which I love but are quite impractical. I still want a new hoodie and may get a stussy one over the weekend and, when I get my redundancy will be getting a new suit (maybe from Mr Smith's sale shop) and some new glasses.

I love buying clothes, it makes me very happy indeed.

chris, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Muchos congratulations on the interview Sarah.

Seeing as I am obsessed with clothes and the purchase thereof I like your thread. Last thing I bought was, er, let me think - last sample sale - ah yes! A SUPERSEXY pale pink & white silk off the shoulder Warehouse top, a SUPERFLIMSY bright pink silk vest top with chiffony bits that I canno wear a bra under (YIKES), the top I wore to the pub on Tuesday which is black and 1-shouldered, a Lisa Maffia-styley black faux leather skirt with flowers on it; before this a long pale blue corduroy skirt; before this some more stuff which is still in bags on my bedroom floor MUST FIND A SUBSTITUTE TO SHOPPING.

Emma, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I bought a freshjive t shirt with uncle sam wearing a hockey mask and pointing. It's sky blue which is the best colour for t shirts obviously. I don't know quite why I bought it since I have SO many t shirts already, it's just I like having ones with nice slogans and pictures on them. I don't wear shirts much either.

Ronan, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

YAY hurrah new clothes mmm... a skirt from Top Shop which was on sale and which makes me look like a particularly SCRUFFY and FAT "romantic peasant" ie. it is a long denim rah rah skirt. i WUV IT especially with my red hose that i was sporting yesterday. would this count as HOBBIT CHIC???

katie, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i fear my last post proves beyond doubt that Sarah and i have also been victims of the MIND MELD...

katie, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

a luvly Spiewak coat with inner plumbing for headphones. Green with a red lining.

misterjones, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hobbit chic? Nooooooo.

The things still in the bag are, even more sadly, 2 pairs of black cropped trousers IDENTICAL except for the fact that the satin trim on one pair is pale blue and on the other is purple. But they only cost £3 each and I couldn't choose which I liked best. The skirt I got at the same time I am wearing now, it is burgundy crushed velvet with a ruffle at the bottom. Mmmm.

I also recently bought a boring white shirt for my graduation ceremony and then went and got beer, curry and fag ash all over it thereby reminding me why I never buy white clothes.

Emma, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I only buy accessories. I have no actualy clothes that are good. I hate clothes shopping./ I cannot see the computer screen very well, so there's lots of speeling bads there is a window next to me and the sun and glare and crap blinds . Oh the other day I got a bear trappers hat with real fur. I love fur. However, it is too furry and I can't hear anything when I'm wear it.

alix, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i really am a scruffy get. no nu clothes for yonks. and still no sign of a decent coat, which i've been wimbling about for months, and now it's getting warm enough not to care. hum.

Alan Trewartha, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you very much Emma, I am quite nervous hence spending the money on the silly red and white wrap thing. Lixi, have you turned into a Romanian Peasant? Or has the bear taken over your head?

ALSO the other week I bought some smart black work trousis which are COMFY surprise surprise eh, and are also from New Look and some SMART BLACK SHOES from Shoe Express. New Look has started selling all sorts of GRATE stuff - ie last week I got a pink MIFFY tshirt yay and today I got a pink MOOMIN tshirt, what will I find next time I go in??

Sarah, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

GGRRRRRR but no i am not angry i am *sad* Sarah are there any other colour Mooming Tshirts apart from Pink? as i want one too oh i do so, but i am not getting the same one as you cos well it's just sad innit wearing the same clothes as yer mates. also i do not like wearing pink v. much. AND i missed out on the Miffy t shirt cos it was ONLY IN PINK *blubs*

katie, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I always was a Roumanian peasant but since the brane bear invasion it's got worse. Looks like I'm heading straight for gyppo chic. Perhaps I'll go for the gypsy look that isn't chic, ie, live in a static and wear cheap sports wear and smell. Was that racialist?

alxi, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I LOVE wearing pink. I have heard that it makes the boys wink but that's not why I love wearing it. I am wearing it right now in fact.

Emma, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pink is like Kryptonite to me.

Pete, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oi, my PARENTS are going to move to a 'static' and anyway what's the point of spending money on sportswear anyway, its only going to get SWEATY. (NB this theory also explains my theory of yearly baths).

Sadly Katie no they only haf pink ones which annoyed me as the shade of pink is rather... salmon. But it was only a tenner also it had MOOMINGS!!! which made up for the hem hem 'pink'. RED suits me bettah.

Sarah, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You and your yearly baths1 Do you know how much water it uses up? Why can't you just make do with 5 yearly like the rest of us? You think you're 'special', is it?'

alix, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I just love the strawberry scented bubble bath...

Sarah, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Some sexy Colette Dinigan undies from Markies

Leigh, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The way they give you shoes without the box in ShoeExpress rather disturbs me.

Bill, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I bought black pants that are nice and stretchy and not too small or faded (unlike my other stretchy black pants), and two pairs of lacy glittery tights (one with stripes and one with flowers, both white) that i do hope fit although they look awfully small. And a black shirt with tan trim and cute little buttons at the top that is slightly hippyish but a bit more boring.

Maria, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate buying clothes except for work clothes; then I quite like it. Why this dichotomy? I'm not sure. Anyway, I just bought a pair of summer-weight grey wool pants from Brooks Brothers. $139 marked down to $99, plus I had a $25 off coupon. Dressing up nice for work makes me feel professional and on the ball.

Sean, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

oooh, at the Tokio-7 consignment store, I got a super-nice grey slim fitting gucci suit for $120... a final home hoodie that has funny sleeves and hood that makes me look like a catwoman. oh, and a hot miu-miu jacket. oh, and this powder blue helmut lang windbreaker to go with my powder blue rollerskates! i love second hand stores. all for super-duper-cheap. no holes, no stains, no funny smells! and a kindercore t-shirt.

good luck on your interview, starry!

phil-two, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I cannot tolerate spending money on clothing, except for shoes. I like shoes. Last pair = Camper pelotas last summer

Ron Hudson, Thursday, 7 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

last purchases were a dazzling long dark blue coat with white edging and cool buttons, and a pastel pink crimplene dress with long sleeves and a sorta chinese-collar. but i must buy those hotpants meneluas found for me at sanctuary. frilled lizard should not have the monopoly on hotpants, because she is bland. people who are boring looking make cool clothes look boring. thank goodness i am DEEE-VYNE!

di, Friday, 8 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

and two pairs of lacy glittery tights

oooh! lurex!

di, Friday, 8 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)
