Hard to compare since there doesn't seem to be much overlap, but I'd say TJ's is better, but BevMo has a much greater selection, and are generally better price-wise than Whole Foods, Bristol Farms, wine stores, etc.

uhhhhhhhhh BevMo is like a super wal-mart filled with booze, it compares to trader joe's how exactly?

first time i ever went to one i just walked around in a daze for like 30 minutes.

and yes there are good deals. plus they have wine and beer tastings like every friday. i am proud to be a member of clubbev!

I once asked if they could tell me how many points I had accrued on my ClubBev! account, and they said that the only way to find out is to write the company a letter. That's a pretty good way to keep customers from redeeming their points.

i only care about price, and i generally only buy a few brands of hard liquor, so if i'm gonna do an extra trip to another store (i'm already at TJ's buying groceries) it better be way cheaper is what i'm saying.

this place sells some good sake for cheap

i didn't even know you got points with the card! gershy it's only worth it if you want to want to buy alcohol you never even knew existed, but then i'm easily impressionable that way. it's usually a few bucks less than ralph's (?) which probably puts it around tj's i guess. gets points knocked off for only ever having one person at check-out whenever i'm there though. x-post

I do like the BevMo, but it only makes sense if you get the club discount, which of course there's no reason why you wouldn't. Isn't there something that happens if you spend $250 there?

I used to go to Hi Times in Costa Mesa if I needed to stock up, but now that's not really convenient, so BevMo it is. Hi Times, it must be said, was every bit as cheap as BevMo and the selection was vastly superior both for liquor and wine.

I didn't realize BevMo was only in CA and AZ.

BevMo rules but TJs is cheaper, I think.
