the boy and i talked last night about the whole relationship thing, briefly. we both agreed that we're not in the market for that at the moment... but it seemed that we both want to keep on being with each other when we can.

it's sort of liberating. and sort of... gosh. i might be a bit smitten, though it might be because he's the first who has ever been tender. one of the reasons it took a while for me to come out was because all the other guys i'd ever slept with were drunken assholes or...well, they took advantage of me while i was drunk, and i would have never slept with them otherwise. as in, it was not good, and not tender. more like disgusting.

I am still getting to know Baltimore but I love it so far. My job kind of takes up all of my time but my forays out into the wider world have been righteous: good Ethiopian and vegan food, lots of free improv, some cool bookstores, friendly people. Architecturally awesome (it's really got that beautiful/decrepit/abandoned/melancholic thing *down*). The gay scene could be better, but that's inevitable given a move from SF. The only acceptable queer watering hole so far is The Eagle.

are Eagle gay bars a franchise? i know there are plenty by that name in cities across the country, but is there any formal association between them? someone inform me.
