this is still the nilla wafers thread.

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 December 2007 20:42 (eighteen years ago)

They are straight-up preschool nostalgia. I like them but I pretty much only buy them to make crusts for cheesecakes these days. (brown sugar + ground nilla wafers & pecans + butter in some proportion I forget...oh god oh god oh you are as good as the cheesecake you hold)

BANANA PUDDIN

will, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

Hahaha when I was a kid there was some tv show about angels, like "the mystery and inspiration of angels: are they real?" (the answer was basically, "oh come on, probably yes.") They had this little eight-year-old southern girl who said some angels took her and flew her through the clouds. "Clouds taste like anything you want. If you want 'em to taste like chocolate puddin, they taste like chocolate puddin. If you want 'em to taste like banana puddin, they taste like banana puddin." Quoting this is my family's best in-joke.

Preschool communion, with whole milk as the blood of the savior.

wanko ergo sum, Saturday, 15 December 2007 21:20 (eighteen years ago)

1) i did not eat one, it was far away from me in a room full of preserves that was full of people
2) the jewish thing was a bad joke about cultural differences

10 states and Texas?

tokyo rosemary, Monday, 20 May 2019 14:49 (six years ago)

Texans like to think we're more than just a state, it's good marketing. Or the ad is from like 1840.

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Monday, 20 May 2019 14:53 (six years ago)

(I bought a box of these this weekend and ate them all on Sunday afternoon while watching Walkabout and Night of the Demon)

Lol. “Sold in Texas, as well some other bullshit places that are beneath consideration”

Bought a box of these for the first time in 15+ years, enjoyed them this weekend around a campfire with friends and all agreed they were a delightful & timeless treat
