Mine are a little crooked at the tips, and my right thumb is bigger than my left. I always worry about it, like it's going to keep getting bigger and bigger and finally explode. Which is probably irrational.
Are your fingers all alike, even and beautiful? If so, you're lucky.

What a thread. What's next, "Are your elbows rough?" "Tell us about your ingrown hairs" "Do you have yellowing toenails?"

covered with the supple skin of the work-shy.
― haitch, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 02:19 (eighteen years ago)
the index finger of my right hand is longer than that on my left.
as the story goes, i was merely months old when i was laying on the floor just within reach of my father's open guitar case as he was playing. he was stoned and closed the case at a moment when only the tip of my finger was inside the case.
for the longest time he told me that my brother, 15 months older, had closed the case. he also told me what a dumbfuck awful parent it made him feel like to be stoned with a screaming, bleeding baby in the emergency room.
anyway, the finger works just fine, but has a segmented fingerprint and can reach those crucial extra millimeters.
the end.

okay so nobody has outies anymore, right? i never see them. when i was a kid, i remember a lot of my friends having outies. but pregnant women seem to be the only adults that have 'em.
― Mark Clemente, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)
yea i dunno it was like a junior high thing.

I had a friend with an innie that could pull it into an outie. Was one of the grossest things I've ever seen and he particularly liked to pull this stunt when we were tripping.
The same guy could squeeze a while milk-like substance out of one of his nipples, but it tended to come out of the areola, not the tip.
Absolutely disturbing stuff.

― Mark Clemente, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 04:07 (eighteen years ago)
My middle fingers also curve away from my thumb, in such a freakish fashion that I always felt mildly embarrassed about them. A couple of years ago I admitted my deformity to my father, who immediately held up his own hands to display the same crooked middle fingers.
Now I am proud of my bent fingers because they came from my Dad. (In EVERY other way I am my mother's daughter so this pleases me a great deal).

― StanM, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 13:42 (eighteen years ago)
^^ me
My hands are quite small considering my height, my fingers are quite skinny but I have super nice fingernails, cos I've never bitten them I suppose.
― Colonel Poo, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 13:43 (eighteen years ago)
that IS nice. my nails are not very attractive.
― Surmounter, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 13:52 (eighteen years ago)
Forgot My Pencil, my mother has the same middle fingers, so did my grandad and great grandad. It's supposedly an Irish thing.
― snoball, Tuesday, 18 December 2007 14:00 (eighteen years ago)
I can bend my fingers back well beyond 90 degrees. My left little finger can bend back far enough to touch my wrist. My thumbs can be bent backwards across the backs of my hands, perpendicular to the fingers. I spin the cricket ball a helluva long way.
