Has anyone read this book? I'm just coming to the end, and am still not quite sure to think of it. Is the dude an asshole? Crazy? My thoughts are pretty much "yes" on both counts, but it has been a compelling read.
Mostly I am amazed by the amount of money spent and the justifications and/or rationalizations given for timed racing on open roads. If the dude had any real balls he'd try the Paris-Dakar, and almost admits as much.
