East London line will close on 22 December 2007 for major extension work and will reopen by summer 2010 as part of the London Overground network.

i have used this line a couple of times, its pinky beigeness will be mourned. given that the dlr exists it is pretty pointless unless you happen to work near wapping.

I prefer the train New Cross -> London Bridge rather than ever using the East London Line.
