OK, well first of all a massive massive thankyou to Suzy for putting up with all of us and letting us into her flat and onto her roof. It was a giddy 12-hour blast and please people who didn't come, come along to whatever we do next (Triggerfest 3-5 August I believe). Sorry I didnt get to say goodbye to some of the people we lost between party and pub - it was really great meeting all you new people, and extra thanks to Ed for smuggling beer across several borders to quench our thirst.
Assorted highlights:
- Hijacking the stereo for "One More Time"! (twice!) (This maybe not a highlight for anyone who had to listen to my soulful renditions)
- Nick D's ninja kick.
- Getting Mark S to go to a PUB.
- Sarah vs Alix GIRLFIGHT
- Drink Jenga
- Having my shirt torn at my adoring young ladies (OK lady. OK not adoring.)
But mostly just hours of sunshine and conversation - I was weak with larffter on many occasions. Thanks everybody for coming for making it a great afternoon, and thanks again to Suzy for organising it all.

I dreamed I dreamed: that after the pub, we hit the streets, torched a car and liberated a private city zoo (ie let all the animals out); the police were called but we charmed them with our grate middle-classness. As we left I realised I had left my muji bacpack and glasses in one of the cages, and Tarden and I had to sneak back in and find them. He went his way, and I, hurrying to catch up with you others, was waylaid by a feral pack of youthful muggers who wanted whatever was in my backpack. I lunged for the ringleader, seized his nose in my teeth and bit hard enough that he ordered the others to back off. [interesting technical dream-work note here: I bodged this lunge first time round, but in an unusual Casteneda lucid-dream/ Godard show-the-mechanism type move, I was allowed to wipe and rewind the film for a second take]. I then ordered him to order his followers to START HAVING SEX WITH ONE ANOTHER in order that I could make good my escape. Luckily (?for who?) at this point I woke up.
I enjoyed everything immensely, even the pub bit (what an odd pub tho) and am only sorry I didn't get to speak to everyone. DG and my battle to the death has been postponed: we decided mututally that for now, the state of the world is such that Ultimate Good is better served by our uniting, as Team Rocket do with Ash, Misty and Brock in Pokémon 3: the Legend of the Unown. If we are all merely figments of le Petit Objet DP's imagination, then I have to say he did a very nice job. Also on the Grays Inn Fields virtual environment generally.

Me, however, I've come to the conclusion that I really should try a bit harder to give up alcohol. For good.

Kate, you didn't embarrass yourself; in fact, the contrary. You did stick to the water regimen until we got to SF and I started hurling Chili Ribs just outside the supervisory area. You must've lost compos mentis somewhere in between the first White Russian Milkshake and declaring Mark S Smartest Man On Earth. Anyway, I STILL HAVE VODKA so you can't have gotten too crazy. Mark distinguished himself with all manner of contents of Tupperware.
Thanks to everyone for coming over. Glad the weather held out; for the next two weeks I will mostly be eating hoummous, salsa and comedy crisps. When this next run of work is finished I HAVE to buy a blender!

Kate, you didn't make a fool out of yourself at all, unless I was so drunk I've forgotten all about it.

Interesting to note (re: Mark S) just how many of one's brain-cells can be *preserved* by abstaining from alcohol for 20 years. A lesson to us all, perhaps.
You were all splendid. DG & I will be playing mixed doubles every Sunday afternoon in Southwark Park for the rest of the summer. Um... Mixed Doubles. 'Scuse me...

The picnic was wonderful. When is the next one? Suzy = classic.
And it wasn't a NINJA KICK.
It was a LEG IN THE AIR!!!
I wonder how big the H3 tag makes things...
I do believe there was BOOTY DANCE on the 2nd Daft Punk rendition. Or was that DJ Pied Piper? It was really really wicked. Shout out to EC1 representz... uh... etc...

Speaking of stereos, did anyone after the party happen to find the case for Nuggets Volume 3? It's the blue one, I believe.

Still, I've scanned a dozen (either the colour-matching on my scanner is dreadful or my monitor's on its way out - the indoor shots couldn't be more low-fi if they were signed to [*]).
(* - complete this great cultural reference gag by inserting appropriate indie label name).
I'll be in touch, Mr Ed/Dali.
