some of the things that are here are here for a reaction, perhaps, but mostly b/c he thinks they are neat things
the 'organization' of these things are not done for a reaction at all; it is just the way he is
and yet he is concerned about appearances - he has a weirdly trained eye and it obv sees past or can't see what i see here

laundry pile is in the bathroom/laundry room, amazingly. clothes piles i'm assuming have some kind of reason to them - they're not as bad as i've seen in the past either

the space is pretty awesome - it's like 12 ft x 30 ft rectangle with super tall ceilings and then above 1/3 of it is an open 2nd floor where his bed and closet (also open) is
windows all the way up one wall (the wall that is 12 ft wide)
annoying black wrought-iron spiral staircase that should just be a regular set of stairs = accident waiting to happen / accidents that have actually already happened

am going to have a shower - big rain-shower shower head aw yeah + dr bronners peppermint soap - he has gone more eco-aware

i don't really understand glass coasters
but i'm coming around - they are at least pretty

shower was invigorating, laundry almost dry, coffee better with instant hot chocolate in it

i have been informed tonight that the only reason my brother's place is as relatively clean as it is now is b/c my mom has been over to visit (she lives kinda far away) twice in the past two months

regardless of all i have said, it is very nice and comfortable and good to be here

also he has so many ridiculous magazines
i love them

and a fireplace (electric but hey!)
