Louis in Jackie Brown made me hurt from laughing so hard at his unimaginative, dull, seethingly frustrated and irredeemably dim character that it gets my vote over the far more nuanced Jimmy Conway.

conway just barely over johnny-boy. (the payoff scene in jackie brown where he shoots bridget fonda is pretty great. it's such a mean tarantino joke, but de niro doesn't play it mean at all, just exasperated.)

"Nick Wells" in The Score runs a genteel jazz club in Montreal when he isn't doing jewel heists. An atypical DeNiro character, but I'd still vote for Johnny Boy even if it was included.
