Contacting people with the same name - C/D?

my name has its own facebook group with 40+ members :-/

It really annoys me when people do this to me, although I think I did it to a guy who had the exact same name as me when I was about 17, he did not reply

The last one was some guy on Facebook from like Connecticut going "yeah I'm forming a name group we're all so Irish yeahhh", pfft

there are only about six or seven things that don't annoy me though, it's probably not that big an affront

There might be a thread on this already, and granted, this is veering off-topic, but what about dating someone with the same first name? ...or someone who shares a very similar name? i.e., Andrew, Andrea

I'm faily sure I'm the only person ever with my name. Which makes it easy when the librarian has to look me up on the system because I forgot my card. Not good for staying elusive on the internet, however.

apparently there are two people who share my name. I knew of one who has (about) the same age. Thanks to facebook I discovered the other one. One of them makesbpretty pics. One of them lives nearby. One is lesbian. But i haven't contacted either one. My first and family name are quite common and tbh I don't give a fuck about about someone who has the same name. I wouldn't be pissed if they did though. But whatever...

My namesake's BFF joined one of my networks, probably due to realising she could make some friends at university as well as home, so I was able to see this on her wall:

"with regardsd to the alter ego: no, he would not be cooler than me, for a start he looked up someone with the same name and age as himself and tried to make friends. that suggests massive loser to me, or overly friendly...which is just a bit weird."

Ha.

This is the reply I got from my same-name-haver on Facebook: "Hey its all good im not fucked up about it glad to know someone else spells abbigail with two b's. ha-peace"

This is blowing my mind. I never thought to look this up before but just did and found 9 other people who share my last name. Other my family members, I've never met a single person with it so this is blowing my mind. I wouldn't even know what to say to them!

I met someone named Rodn3y Gr33ne once. He was a drummer and he was going to do some drumming for me, but he flaked out.

I met him when I went to get lunch at my college and he was accompanying one of the music professors playing jazz piano outside the cafe.

Which reminds me I need to pay my tuition by monday. : (

I couldn't resist so I sent him a message. Stragely, all the people on FB with my last name seem to live in the are of England where my husband is from. Kind of spooky.

I have tried to get in touch with about three people who apparently give myn✧✧✧@gm✧✧✧.c✧✧ as their email address to websites. I'm still getting one guys emails from Smith Barney about his finances and quotes from hotels in Arizona for weddings.

I went on a stag weekend earlier this year and there was chaos because there was another guy in our party (of ten or so) with the same name as me, and Easyjet sell tickets based on names. Took about half an hour to sort out when I should have been in the Irish theme pub in Stansted airport. We are Facebook friends now.

I also share a name with the guy who used to run the buildings at work (university) Autocompletion of addresses in Outlook was baffling for some people, and I got all sorts of shit about fork-lift trucks that needed moving and toilets that needed fixing. I emailed him to say hi, but he didn't reply. He is a scary teddy boy.

So dud. I am sick of having to do it.
