1970 Fender Starcaster - Leo Nocentelli's axe on a lot of those old Meters records. These days I think he rocks a Gibson E 335.

Trayce, Monday, 31 December 2007 05:56 (eighteen years ago)

Its funny this thread came up when it did: my bf is currently customising an BC Rich warlock clone guitar - he's taken off the neck and has coated the entire thing (fretboard, back and headstock) a glossy red enamel. The body is black, and we're now toying with ideas for detailling eg fancy chrome knobs and pickups, etc etc. Oh and he's also had it defretted.

Will post pics once its all done probably.

Trayce, Monday, 31 December 2007 05:59 (eighteen years ago)

...and here it is. This used to be a rather plain looking, all black shitty regular metal guitar. It's been defretted, repainted, and had various things replaced.

how do you guys judge "awesomeness".. can anything unusual do? cos some of the above guitars are ugmo???

ken c, Friday, 4 January 2008 10:50 (eighteen years ago)

some of these guitars are awesome via goodness, some are awesome in the original sense of the word, often through wtfitude
