There. I needed to get that off my chest.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:35 (seventeen years ago)

by the use of the word 'pants' i take it this has caught on in the US too? we did a thread on 'skinny jeans' for men at one point.

That one guy that hit it and quit it, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:38 (seventeen years ago)

i wear 'skinny jeans' because i am skinny

J0rdan S., Monday, 31 December 2007 11:38 (seventeen years ago)

i wear distressed denim because, well.

That one guy that hit it and quit it, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:40 (seventeen years ago)

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:40 (seventeen years ago)

J0rdan S., Monday, 31 December 2007 11:41 (seventeen years ago)

Tight pants on skinny men looks even more ridiculous than on bigger men.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:42 (seventeen years ago)

ALSO PLZ STOP CALLING YOURSELF 'THE REVEREND' FOR FUCKS SAKE

strgn, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:45 (seventeen years ago)

At least bigger guys have the excuse that they could just be wearing too small of pants rather than signaling to the entire world their intentions of looking in a douchelike way.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:46 (seventeen years ago)

Hey, strgn, why don't you go fuck off? Thxkbye.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:46 (seventeen years ago)

J0rdan S., Monday, 31 December 2007 11:48 (seventeen years ago)

And it's not as if there isn't any acceptable medium between skinny and baggy, dude.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:49 (seventeen years ago)

tight pants on men look great.

no.

That one guy that hit it and quit it, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:51 (seventeen years ago)

I'm 5'5, 135. I don't rock the skinny jeans like I used to, but sometimes they're all I've got left.

Wear lots of pinstripe pants these days oddly enough.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:51 (seventeen years ago)

I am wearing kind of not-quite-pinstripe, but pinstripey pants right now.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 11:52 (seventeen years ago)

'strgn' is very offensive, especially since it's a word with an understandable meaning. love all yr gay insecurities. see:

strgn, Monday, 31 December 2007 12:03 (seventeen years ago)

veryloggedout, Monday, 31 December 2007 12:44 (seventeen years ago)

I have underwear for that. I suppose some might prefer to go commando.

The Reverend, Monday, 31 December 2007 12:44 (seventeen years ago)

i wouldn't presume to know what's good for everybody, but i'm not as comfortable with the nuthug as i once was.

veryloggedout, Monday, 31 December 2007 12:46 (seventeen years ago)

I think a woman would have to be of Amazonian stature to swap pants with me. I am tall and about 80% legs at that.

Sorry, I meant it like it's a weird thing. I'm actually not into scrawny girls at all, which doesn't work out in my also scrawny favor since the ones I like usually outweigh me a bit. They don't seem to like that.

RabiesAngentleman, Thursday, 24 April 2008 16:24 (seventeen years ago)

pudge = A+ in my book.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 24 April 2008 16:36 (seventeen years ago)

best to not let them hear you call it "pudge" i think?

elmo argonaut, Thursday, 24 April 2008 16:39 (seventeen years ago)

least of my obstacles at the moment.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 24 April 2008 16:40 (seventeen years ago)

I have always, always envied the ultra-rail-thin look. I have what could be termed "pudge." The grass is etc etc.

I don't know, girls keep dating my roommates and they're like toothpicks wrapped in black denim. The girls tend to be young and...I'm not sure how bright, but hey.

Laurel, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:43 (seventeen years ago)

I agree re: the tight trousers thing. Slim fit is okay though.

jel --, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:44 (seventeen years ago)

That didn't come out right.

jel --, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:45 (seventeen years ago)

me and last serious girlfriend would have combined to be about 12 feet, 245 lbs. of human.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:45 (seventeen years ago)

Kevin maybe you should take up glam-rock stylings and the world's tightest black jeans. And flat-iron your hair. I hear 14-yr olds go for that.

Laurel, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:47 (seventeen years ago)

oh, hey, i didn't tell you. i got my annual haircut about two weeks ago. no hair to iron.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:51 (seventeen years ago)

Just in time for spring!

Laurel, Thursday, 24 April 2008 19:55 (seventeen years ago)

the ones I like usually outweigh me a bit. They don't seem to like that

I can identify with that. I'm five ten and a size ten so not exactly tiny and I've always had a hard time dating scrawny guys even though I often find them attractive. In the end I think height is more important to me then weight though. Tall and skinny is A-ok. Then again my on again off again boyfriend from years ago was about five six and 90 pounds soaking wet.

ENBB, Thursday, 24 April 2008 20:00 (seventeen years ago)

i made my bf weigh himself the other day just to make sure he didn't weigh less than me!

poor form on my part to ask, sorry. but having met him i know he borders on the elfen so...

chicago kevin, Thursday, 24 April 2008 20:28 (seventeen years ago)

He's tall, though. And kind of rangy. I bet I still outweigh him but I am made of bricks.

Laurel, Thursday, 24 April 2008 20:29 (seventeen years ago)

laurel is mighty might, just lettin' it all hang out.

Yeah, it never seems to stop more generously proportioned gals from dating me (must be the height), but it always leads to these futile debates. They usually begin with some kind of flirtatious comment on my part about how nice they're looking, and then it just disintegrates into, like, "I'm faaaatt", "Yeah dude, sweet!", "HORRIBLESCREEEECHINGSOUND!!!!"
Ok my actual response is usually more of a sheepish, "but I like how you look" (and on into why), but it just winds up being this horrible, futile game of Kriegspiel w/o a referee, and then I don't get laid because I said she looks gorgeous in those pants.
Kind of an extreme example there, but to varying degrees I've had the exact same problem with nearly every girl I've been involved with, regardless of body type.

RabiesAngentleman, Saturday, 26 April 2008 15:47 (seventeen years ago)

yup, im pretty tallish and sturdy and I'm not usually attracted to super skinny guys (mainly because I don't think they'd be into me); but yeah, if they are tall I can sometimes make acceptions. Small and slight I just think, YEEEE i will crush you!

Dear Lord

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 08:20 (seventeen years ago)

I saw two young men wearing these. Because of the uncontrollable grin I had on my face, I think they thought I was checking them out.

I truly can't articulate the silliness of this garment in real-life. The missing part of the picture is that you can't really walk in these pants. You just kind of shuffle-walk, sort of like when you have to run to the phone while in the middle of going to the bathroom.

aldo, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 08:29 (seventeen years ago)

the real problem with skinny jeans as any guy will tell you is that it's very difficult to keep 1) cigarettes 2) keys 3) phone 4) ipod 5) wallet 6) earbuds 7) lighter in the pockets with looking and feeling like you've turned into one of those comme des garcons lumpy people - these trousers solve the problem!

Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 15:16 (seventeen years ago)

Don't forget 8) the balls TH. THE BALLS.
What are 6) earbuds ???

The guy in phil's first link knows how to rock them shits proper.

you heard it here first: tote bags are done. like, really done.
