by the use of the word 'pants' i take it this has caught on in the US too? we did a thread on 'skinny jeans' for men at one point.

In the end I think height is more important to me then weight though. Tall and skinny is A-ok. Then again my on again off again boyfriend from years ago was about five six and 90 pounds soaking wet.

Yeah, it never seems to stop more generously proportioned gals from dating me (must be the height), but it always leads to these futile debates. They usually begin with some kind of flirtatious comment on my part about how nice they're looking, and then it just disintegrates into, like, "I'm faaaatt", "Yeah dude, sweet!", "HORRIBLESCREEEECHINGSOUND!!!!"
Ok my actual response is usually more of a sheepish, "but I like how you look" (and on into why), but it just winds up being this horrible, futile game of Kriegspiel w/o a referee, and then I don't get laid because I said she looks gorgeous in those pants.
Kind of an extreme example there, but to varying degrees I've had the exact same problem with nearly every girl I've been involved with, regardless of body type.

yup, im pretty tallish and sturdy and I'm not usually attracted to super skinny guys (mainly because I don't think they'd be into me); but yeah, if they are tall I can sometimes make acceptions. Small and slight I just think, YEEEE i will crush you!

I saw two young men wearing these. Because of the uncontrollable grin I had on my face, I think they thought I was checking them out.

I truly can't articulate the silliness of this garment in real-life. The missing part of the picture is that you can't really walk in these pants. You just kind of shuffle-walk, sort of like when you have to run to the phone while in the middle of going to the bathroom.
