It's works best if they waffles are thin-ish. Thick belgian style waffles don't work well.

waffle french toast obscure the advantages of the waffle. waffle crevices are reserved for butter, honey, syrup, jam, whipped cream... just about anything but eggy batter.

Waffles are able to contain the syrup better.

pancakes. buckwheat pancakes. with real butter and real maple syrup (syrup slightly warmed). to be served at 11:30 a.m., alongside a small orange juice and the morning's 2nd cup of coffee. (mimosas can be substituted for orange juice.)

My initial reaction was that anyone not voting french toast was mentally ill, but I'm getting really hungry for pancakes right now so maybe I am mentally ill.

You guys, I was at this diner in Philly last month and they had pancakes WITH ICE CREAM. It was seriously the greatest thing ever. Where have I been?
