I'm also reading some Capote. I can't get into McCarthy as much as I love his narratives. His refusal to use quotation marks is really distracting for me.

long story short a gaggle of loud drunks stumble in @ 3 am, one of them a flamboyant dude who says "SOMEBODY LEFT THIS IN THE PARKING LOT! I THINK -- DO YOU THINK -- EW -- DO YOU THINK IT FELL OUT?"

he tosses a cloudy silicone fake breast onto the desk and it lands with a gross SQLACK sound.

he and his entourage proceeded to chat me up for half an hour. cute drunk girl invited me up to her room, asked me "if i look hotter with or without" the falsie in her shirt.

took pictures with it, then demanded that i call them if anyone claimed it in the morning.

What a tale.
