Singles, though not great, is so much better than the unbridled lousiness of Reality Bites that it's not even a contest.

Also, everyone in Reality Bites was stupid except for Stiller's character.

At least in Singles most of the characters aren't totally detestable.

seven years pass...

There was an attempt to screen Singles at the Singles apartment building: https://www.facebook.com/events/850713158352133/

It didn't quite work out, though Wikipedia disagrees:

On July 5, 2015, Derek Erdman held a public screening of the movie in courtyard of Capitol Hill’s Coryell Court Apartments—the building in which the main characters live.[7] The event was attend by over 1,000 people. Despite initial concerns by the landlord, the event went off smoothly. The crowd was respectful and cleanup up after themselves. Reports of Bridget Fonda being in attendance were false, it actually her aunt Jane Fonda.

one year passes...

I was at a screening of the rarely seen George C Scott film The Savage Is Loose last night, and until he got up to talk about it after with Alec Baldwin I didn't recognize the guy sitting 2 seats to my left, with white hair and glasses, as Campbell Scott.

Anyway, seems like a charming and forthright fellow.
