Hmm, yeah. One of the problems is that it's Saturday, and so anything might suck/be horribly crowded. But why bring myself down with those negative vibes, maaaaan, etc.?

Ha, it's not a barn, but club-ish environment, I guess...but I'm assuming fairly non-pretentious, no velvet rope, etc., seeing as there's no cover. I'm not familiar w/the people that are doing the night, but they're threatening to play Italo and stuff, so it sounds alright by me.

Bar is place where I pay money for drinks for privilege of not being within within the confines of my apt. At bar are other people, and place where I can sit and smoke cigarettes, and drinks that I would not ordinarily keep at home.

Oily, that is not an option tonight, but thanks for the suggestion.

i had this night that started at 6pm and involved many things and am surprsingly happy to be home at this time. so i don't know, as long as you want to be away from your apartment, just go away from yr apartment to a place where it is at least 20% more of wahtever you are not into at yr apartment

The good and cute people thing is a mystery. I've never been to most of these places on a Saturday or any wknd night. All I really wanna do is chill and drink beer and maybe cigarettes. Dancing would be great, but not if it's unbearable.

yr probably right. I'll count you as the tie-breaker and plan on heading to "the club". I should have gone out dancing last night, but for whatever reasons, my heart was not in it. Truth be told, my heart is more in just chilling out/beers tonight, but the other runner-ups are on the way, so maybe I'll visit them, time-permitting. Thank you all much for participating. Thanks for humoring me. As it turned out, I went straight to the "D" option, dancing...it was the furthest distance from me domicile, and I would have liked to have at least stopped in briefly at the "mystery bar" (option "G"), but I took so long in getting out that it seemed like time was tight.

Anyhow, things turned out beautifully, from my perspective. The space was to my liking-- smallish, dark, unpretentious...and the crowd was A+...good vibes predominated.

The music, meh...no Italo as promised, at least while I was there, and the dj's were mostly spinning a brand of electro that doesn't particularly appeal to me; however, there was very reasonably-priced Hoegaarden, which made me ponder how maybe my recent habits of imbibing cheap-ass domestic beers has been regrettable in some ways. Obviously, a more scientific study is called for along those lines, and I will report back to y'all as far as that goes.

Not long before last call, I did finally make it out onto the dance space, and it drilled into my head (and this is not the first time that such has been the case) how important dancing is for my overall health. It was good.

Thanks again for your participation! The most dramatic interaction I had all night was probably with the woman who was checking ID's at the door, which turned into some lol-worthy thing, at least to my mind...but, yeah, I feel pretty great right now. In short, success.
