my boss is going away on a cruise for 3 weeks and i knew if i wanted time off i needed to ask for it quick. so i got tues/wed/thurs/fri off. friday is my actual day off though. but i've got 3 days with kids in daycare, which means i can actually clean and do stuff, etc. do maria. oops, did i say that out loud?

It's weird; if I buy beer in bottles, I always wanna pour it in glasses. It's so pretty. Variations on amber, gold, etc.

For some reason, though, if I buy it in a can, I just wanna chlug it out of the can. I think it's out of poverty mentality of seeing how little beer is left in the can; visual cues for me being more reliable/less heartbreaking than ear posed next to shaken can or something...

My dad has this thing about drinking beer in bottles - he hates it esp when it's a girl drinking beer out of a bottle(?!). Even though I think it's ridiculous, I always pour them into a glass.

i think pint glasses are made to be heavy to slow down drinking speed
beer out of a normal glass = danger for sure - this is what always happens with pitcher situations!
this is small pleasure thread related but it is always nice in a small way when you are drinking beer from a bottle and talking to people and then lift bottle to drink and see that it's at least half-way full. and then you drink it.

I remember first encountering it out here at restaurants over a decade back. I knew even then it was the way forward.

I was inspired to invest in a heavy bottle of sriracha recently, but don't you find that it's kind of over-powering? I mean, I'd like something to cover up my more mediocre cooking attempts, but for everyday use...?

i've probably had it in restaurants - and dell if you are in philly then you have to go to Vietnam cuz it's so amazing - but never bought any to use as a condiment.
