I haven't been happy since about 1999 or 2000 or so.

When I went to London in 2000, I was happy. 2006 my mother won a lawsuit and I was unemployed - she paid my bills and I was happy.

I hope you stay happy. Sometimes you don't know if you'll ever be happy again.

i'm content, which is what i strive to be. (but never complacent.) i'm also tired and have an exam next week, and mrs fiendish is away in england, but i'm going to have a cup of green tea and crack on with some revision, which i really quite enjoy. so i guess this is me:

Glad to hear it Ronan, I know you've had a pretty rough time with yr health.

I've had a shocking 12 months - healthwise, mind wise, romance wise - but now I'm happier than I think maybe I have ever been, and it isn't insane manic happy, it is content, peaceful, nice, "can see this lasting" happy. And thats despite being unemployed and quite broke. Its such a relief, and makes me realise how seriously bad/depressed I was last year.

i just looked back through my email and worked out thats the day we finally sold our old house (after 8 months of financial terror) and found out that PP was still cancer-free. That was a pretty bitchin day.

damn @ this thread. but easy come, easy go i suppose.

Happiness is such an odd thing to get a handle on.

Now that it's autumn, I'm starting to feel nostalgic for the summer just gone as if that's when I was happy. But if I think back clearly, my summer was just like now - odd moments of happiness, boredom, anxiety, irritation, and flatness of mood.

I'm not sure I'm ever happy in the present, but only in retrospect.
