Worst Vehicular Altercation

Head-on collision, totalled both cars. My fault.

Caused a 6 car pile-up on the freeway while heading to the Sacramento airport by rear-ending the car in front of me with great force. In a rental car. No major injuries.

Was pushed out of my lane, hit the center concrete barrier doing about 80, spun all the way around, went up on two wheels, hit the barrier again and came to a stop. No injuries, amazingly.

Someone deliberate accelerated into me. Rear end smashed like an accordion, rear window shattered....I walked away without a scratch, but they towed my car and never returned the contents of the trunk, so I lost about $500 worth of precious research materials.

Chicago Police Department is crap. They never questioned me or any other witnesses, never charged the guy even though it was an OBVIOUS case of road rage. CPD is so corrupt and will get a guy off if is daddy is powerful.

actually the intent of this thread was road rage incidents more than it was 'worst accident' descriptions but I wasn't very clear....

Last summer: caught between parade spill-off on Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue in my Mom's crappy Ford Taurus. Takes twenty-five minutes to crawl down 9th Street. Double parked cars line the streets. At the mouth of 6th Avenue (where I want to turn right), there's a horrible bottle neck, with everyone vying to squeeze out first. I am too far over to the right and end up scraaaaaaping against the parked car to my right. That parked car turns out to be a cop car. With cops in it. Very angry cops. Meanwhile, I have nowhere to pull over, because of all the double parked cars. My plan is to turn right on 6th, and then pull over, at which point I'll start apologizing profusely. They don't interpret it that way. They interpret my failure to pull over as my fleeing the scene, which upsets them mightily.

I ended up with a vigorous scolding. I really thought they were going to haul me downtown and give me the Giulliani plunger. No damage to their car. Scrape marks on my car.

yea but one of the cops dropped his kruller into his coffee...that's unforgivable!
